在对雅思托福写作课程的学习中，我想，很多同学被套路化了。他们刻意去最求大词，复合句，长难句，甚至为了达到用大词，写长难句的目的，完全忽视了自己对大词和长难句的驾驭能力，更不惜牺牲文章和段落的统一性，连贯性乃至于无法规则!从而让自己深陷写作的泥潭中不能自拔，甚至有人对写作感到心灰意冷，感觉永无出头之日!对于这些同学的遭遇，欧亚老师只能深表同情，但同时也为他们感到惋惜。
首先，欧亚老师鼓励英语有足够驾驭能力的同学在写作中使用大词和长难句，但是，对于驾驭能力不足的同学，欧亚老师还是建议另辟蹊径，从而提升我们文章的颜值。更何况，任何语言写作的本质就是“用简洁的语言表达丰富的思想”，其本质就是“言简为贵”！任何语言表达的实质都是语言的“经济性”和表达的“有效性”的有机统一！因此，欧亚老师从词汇的使用方面入手，帮大家规避“经济而不有效”或“有效而不经济”的问题。
词性活用
最常见的就是非生命名词做主语(含动名词)，名词的动词化活用以及V+N+Prep形式的短语
非生命名词做主语 ,试比较一下三句话

His absence put off the meeting.
毫无疑问，第三句最能体现经济性和有效性的有机结合。
名词的动词化用法，最能体现“小词大用”的原则
